Here we are with a butterfly landing, and a door that comes up through the floor.

Next up, we're going to pull the door down through the floor. The door will be removable for easy cleaning. A threaded brass insert should eventually allow for neat things.

Might not look like much, but I got doorjam in. Used a sweep to take a small 1.5mm squared rectangle, went better than expected. Next up is the door itself. That will begin to seal in the overall aesthetic.
